Storms on the horizon, but sun for now
0 0

We get a short break from rain, but can already see more coming on the horizon.

As a few morning showers exit the region, Tuesday will be dry and a bit cooler behind a cold front. As that system exits Eastern Montana, it could be a little breezy near the North Dakota state line.

High temperatures will be mainly in the 70s with a few low 80s Tuesday with a mostly sunny afternoon.

There is a slight risk for a few showers or weak thunderstorms Tuesday night otherwise dry conditions continue through Wednesday.

High temperatures Wednesday will be slightly warmer in the mid to lower 80s with plenty of sunshine.

The weather turns more active Thursday, with a chance of strong to severe storms in the area by Thursday evening. The strongest storms will favor areas from Billings to the East.

Expect below normal temperatures Friday through Sunday with scattered area showers and a few thunderstorms around.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Isolated morning showers. Otherwise mostly sunny with a high near 78.

Tuesday night… Isolated evening showers, otherwise partly cloudy with a low of about 54.

Wednesday… Sunny with a high around 85.
