Rain showers are not giving up yet.

Expect showers and scattered thunderstorms across the region Friday and over the weekend. Temperatures will be a bit below seasonal averages, staying mainly in the lower-to-mid 70s for highs.

The humidity will stay elevated. Localized storms will produce moderate to heavy rainfall, and small hail can be expected with thunderstorms.

Drier and warmer weather is anticipated early next week with highs moving to the 80s Monday.

Billings forecast:

Friday: Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible. Cloudy to mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Westerly wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: Isolated evening showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly to partly sunny, with a high near 75. Westerly wind 5 to 15 mph.
