Cool temperatures, rain and mountain snow are headed our way.
Showers and thunderstorms will increase by Thursday afternoon and evening, with cooler temperatures and a pretty significant amount of moisture for Friday and Saturday will move across the area.
The mountains could see heavy snow, with a few inches into the mountain foothills. Lower elevation rain, including Billings, could be in the order of a half-inch to over an inch total through Saturday.
In the short-term, expect another day with above average temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s, with Billings on the high end of that scale.
Clouds increase Wednesday afternoon, bringing scattered area showers and thunderstorms especially from Billings to the West and North this evening.
Highs will be in the 60s to low 70s Thursday with increasing area showers and thunderstorms. By Friday and Saturday, highs will be in the 40s and 50s with area rain that could be heavy at times.

Thursday… Mostly cloudy with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. About 69 for the high temperature.
