Monday will start with sunshine in a few clouds, and temperatures will return to the 70s to around 80 for afternoon highs. Clouds will increase through the afternoon.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase today, as a disturbance moves across the state. Quite a bit of moisture will feed into the region, giving the potential for heavy rain in storms that do develop.
Some small hail and gusty winds are possible with storms over Southeast Montana.
Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages on Tuesday and Wednesday, continuing to hit afternoon readings in the 70s. For early May, Billings would typically reach the mid-60s.
Thursday and Friday are trending cooler and wetter.
