Warmer than average temperatures continue with hit-and-miss showers and thunderstorms through the weekend.

Expect a little warmer and drier day for Friday, is a high-pressure ridge shifts into the Rocky Mountain West. An increase in mid-level moisture could bring a few isolated showers or thunderstorms to the mountains, but the lower elevation should remain dry.

A week disturbance moves across the area Saturday, bringing an increasing clouds and a decrease in the temperatures by a few degrees. Highs will move from the mid-70s to low 80s Friday, to mainly the 70s Saturday.

There is a slight increase in the chance for showers and thunderstorms in the lower elevations on Saturday, with a few more storms in the area by late Sunday.

The overall trend heading into next week is for continued warmer than average temperatures and scattered isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons.

Friday night… Mostly cloudy with a low around 51.

Saturday… Partly sunny with increasing afternoon clouds. High of about 75. Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
