A pattern of above normal temperatures continues.

A high-pressure ridge across the region will bring mainly dry conditions to the area Thursday with only a slight risk of an isolated storm over the mountains. High temperatures will be above seasonal averages, reaching the 60s to mid 70s.

Temperatures will continue to build on Friday, with more highs hitting the 70s. A week disturbance could bring a few Friday afternoon to evening showers and thunderstorms mainly over the mountains.

Above average temperatures are expected through next week. Average highs this time of the season are normally in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Instead, highs mainly in the upper 60s to upper 70s are expected.

There will be enough moisture, and a series of weak disturbances moving across the region, to bring at least some chance of a shower or thunder to each afternoon and evening. This will be especially true from Billings to the West closer to the mountains.

The best chance of rain next week looks to be Monday afternoon through Tuesday.

Thursday… Mostly sunny with a high near 72. Westerly breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Thursday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 47.

Friday… Mostly sunny and around 79 for the high temperature. Isolated evening showers or thunderstorms.
