Temperature still on track to peak Saturday, before wetter and cooler weather arrives.

Plenty of sunshine under a high-pressure Ridge today is highs will hit the mid to lower 70s. A bit of an East breeze will hold temperatures back by a degree or two.

Overnight readings will be mainly into the mid to lower 40s and clear to mostly clear.

Temperatures peaked tomorrow, as a high-pressure Ridge builds and a cold front approaches from the West. Highs will be in the 70s to even low 80s.

Clouds increase by Saturday evening, with isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday, temperatures will be mainly in the upper 60s to 70s with scattered area showers and thunderstorms becoming more numerous by the afternoon and evening.

Highs will be only in the 50s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with scattered area showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny with a high near 73. Light East breeze.

Friday night… Clear with a low around 44.

Saturday… Temperatures peak at around 81. Sunny in the morning with a few clouds by the afternoon and an isolated shower thunderstorm possible.
