A day-by-day weather breakdown through Monday
0 0

The weather will be a little bit different each day through early next week.

Overall, Friday is fairly quiet with a mix of clouds and sunshine and temperatures mainly in the upper 50s to mid 60s for highs. A weather system to our South will keep a few clouds around, especially from Billings to the East and South.

Winds remain light this evening, with overnight temperatures dropping mainly to the 30s. Partly clear to clear early Saturday.

Saturday shaping up to be a warm day ahead of a cold front. Highs will be mainly in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

Expect gusty winds for a few hours Saturday evening as a cold front moves through.

High temperatures will be mainly in the upper 50s to low 60s Sunday with a mix of clouds and sun.

The next weather system moves through Monday, bringing rain and mountain snow. It is a fairly fast-moving system but could still leave a quarter to a half an inch of precipitation.

The system is not very cold, but it could generate enough snow for Billings to break the seasonal snowfall record. Any snow accumulation outside of the higher elevations would be difficult.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Mostly sunny with a high near 63. North breeze 5 to 10 mph.

Friday night… Mostly clear with a low around 37. Light wind.

Saturday… Sunny with a high of about 71. Westerly breeze 5 to 10 mph.
