Rain, snow and wind for Tuesday. Then a break.

A slow moving weather system will bring rain and wet snow, nudging gradually to the east throughout Tuesday. Gusty northwest winds will linger through the afternoon.

The heaviest snowfall will be in the Pryor and Bighorn Mountains, and in the Cody foothills of Northern Wyoming. Poor visibility is a concern along I-90 from Lame Deer to Sheridan, Wyoming.

Temperatures will peak in the 40s to low 50s Tuesday. Some clearing is expected through the afternoon and evening from west to east.

Overnight temperatures slip mainly to the 20s and low 30s with a mostly cloudy sky.

Mostly sunny Wednesday, with highs in the 50s. Generally dry with isolated showers for the rest of the week.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday…Rain showers could have a little snow mixed in for the morning. Otherwise a high near 51, with a northwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Tuesday night…Isolated evening showers, otherwise mostly cloudy and around 51 for the low.

Wednesday…Mostly sunny with a high of about 56.
