Spring weather mean changes and more changes

Click for 7 Day ForecastIt is a typical spring weather pattern in Montana and Northern Wyoming: Anything is possible and probably will happen at some point.

For the next couple of days, temperatures will continue to edge upward with a sunny to mostly sunny sky. Highs will hit the 40s and 50s consistently Wednesday and Thursday. Even some of 60s in the mountain foothills possible.

Nights will fall below freezing in the Eastern valleys, with snow melt increasing. This brings in the possibility of more ice jams and low land flooding.

A strong push of moisture moves across the area late Wednesday through Thursday bringing snow and rain to the higher elevations. A disturbance moving across the area Thursday night through Friday will bring mainly rain showers to the lower elevations, although some freezing rain is possible in Southeast Montana.

Another round of warm temperatures seems to be on track for Friday afternoon, the clouds could hold back our warm up in Eastern Montana.

Another disturbance pushes across the area throughout the weekend, bringing isolated rain and snow showers to the lower elevations and mountain snow.

We are again on course for another warm-up by the middle of next week.
