Snow ends, cold arrives, and then more snow

While the chance of snow starting to decrease, bursts of snowfall will reduce visibility at times. Another one to 3 inches of snow are possible from Billings and Hardin toward the Red Lodge area.

The surrounding area will receive likely 2 inches or less.

Cold air will move into the region, holding temperatures to the single digits for this afternoon. By tonight, temperatures will drop mainly to the teens below zero additional wind chill values.

The sun breaks through on Saturday, but temperatures will struggle only to the teens for most of the highs.

Another round of snow will move in late Sunday into Monday.

Billings forecast:

Friday: Around another 2 inches of snow, mainly in the morning, then a chance of snow showers for Friday afternoon. High near 5. Wind chill values as low as -15. Light easterly wind.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -10. Wind chill values as low as -30. Southerly breeze.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. Wind chill values as low as -30. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
