Click for 7 day Forecast There are still lots of weather hazards to talk about, but what kind of hazard changes a couple of times a day.
Hazard 1: Winds will increase in the Livingston/Nye/Big Timber areas with gusts over 60 mph Wednesday through Thursday. The Harlowton area could experience gusts to 55 mph, and Billings may see an occasional gust to 40 mph.
Hazard 2: Freezing rain is possible Wednesday evening through early Thursday over much of the area. This will be limited, but could make things very slippery very quickly, and limited visibility with freezing on windshields.
Hazard 3: Snow will return. A cold front will move across the area during the day Thursday, with accumulating snow. Much of the area is on track for another 5-8 inches on top of what is already in place.
Areas east of Billings seem to be in the best target area for accumulation.
Otherwise, expect a milder day Wednesday despite cloudiness. Highs will range from the teens in Northeast Montana, 20s in Southeast Montana, 30s around Billings, and low 40s in the mountain foothills.
