A few morning weather issues turn into sunshine and warming temperatures Tuesday afternoon and beyond.
Areas of morning fog will persist from Billings to the west toward the mountains Tuesday morning. And bitter cold wind chills will ease east of Billings through the morning. Use care in both situations for now.
Tuesday afternoon temperatures will warm to the upper 20s / low 30s around Billings. In fact, the entire area will be warmer than the last couple of days.
With sunshine around the area, highs will be warmer west of Billings with highs in the 30s. Colder conditions are expected east of Billings with the teens for the highs heading toward the Dakotas.
The wind will increase down the east mountain slopes. Livingston and along I-90 in that area could experience 40 mph gusts.
The trend will be warmer each day through Thursday, topping off in the 40s.
By Thursday afternoon and evening, an increasing chance of rain and snow showers develops before temperatures start to cool for the weekend.

Tuesday…Patchy morning fog. Otherwise partly cloudy with a high of about 29. Southwest wind 5-15 mph.
Tuesday night…Mostly clear and around 22 for a low.
Wednesday…Mostly sunny and warmer. Near 39 for the high.
