It stays cold all day and all night Thursday through Friday. And there’s more snow on the way.
With a mix of clouds and sunshine, high temperatures will be mainly into the single digits above and below zero in the plains Thursday. Warmer readings into the teens and 20s are likely through northern Wyoming and in the mountain foothills.
By this afternoon and this evening, snow redevelops moving across the area from West to East. For the most part, expect light over night accumulations of 1 to 3 inches across the lower elevations.
Overnight readings will again be warmer the mountain foothills, but drop to is cold as the teens below zero in the Eastern plains of the state. Billings will likely be in the low single digits.
A chance of snow showers especially early on Friday. Again, temperatures will stay chilly mainly in the single digits above and below zero and warmer in the higher elevations.
Readings spike well into the 30s Saturday afternoon. Highs will stay in the 30s for the weekend, and drop to the mid to lower 20s for Martin Luther King Day.

Thursday night… Snow likely with a low of about 2°. 1 to 3 inches of new snow.
Friday… Snow likely in the morning and mostly cloudy in the afternoon. A high of around 10.
