Temperatures will continue to increase Friday and Saturday, as a high-pressure Ridge builds in across the Western US. Regional highs will be mainly into the upper 30s to mid-40s.

By far the warmest readings will be in the mountain foothills West of Billings. Wind gusts could reach over 50 miles an hour, but some of the afternoon temperatures in the mountain foothills have the potential to reach the upper 40s to low 50s.

Areas of Eastern Montana will likely stay in the teens and 20s Friday afternoon.

The sky will be partly to mostly cloudy Friday and Saturday.

A disturbance will move through late Saturday into Sunday, grading mountain snow in a few scattered rain and snow showers for the lower elevations.

Despite a slight cool down on Sunday, temperatures move back up Monday and Tuesday with the 30s and 40s for afternoon highs.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Partly to mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Friday night… Mostly cloudy with a low around 31. Breezy conditions continue.

Saturday… Partly sunny with a high 40-45.
