One more mild day before big changes

Mild weather for one more day on Tuesday, before a big change in the weather starts Wednesday.

For Tuesday, highs will hit the upper 30s to mid 40s with a mostly cloudy sky.

A cold front will move through the area on Wednesday, with a major change in the weather pattern. Areas of snow and some blowing snow will develop, with a drop in the temperatures.

Another round of snow could develop Thursday night through Friday, with higher accumulations in the mountain foothills.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Mostly cloudy with a high of about 40. Southeast breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday night… Mostly cloudy with a low near 30.

Wednesday… Temperatures peak in the mid-30s early in the day and then drop steadily through the afternoon. Areas of light snow will develop with a Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph causing some blowing snow and making conditions feel colder.
