Warm but windy weekend weather

Click for 7 Day Forecast Temperatures move a notch up Thursday and continue to climb on Friday. And more wind.

As a high-pressure Ridge builds into the region, temperatures will climb mainly into the 40s for the lower elevations Thursday afternoon. Expect decreasing clouds, but wind gusts could reach to around 40 mph from Livingston to Billings.

Areas East of Billings also remain breezy today.

Generally, dry conditions dig in heading into the weekend, as the temperatures nudge upward.

Highs on Friday will be mainly in the upper 40s to mid-50s and could stay in the low 50s and Billings through Sunday. Breezy conditions will continue to pop up from time to time.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Decreasing clouds, with a high near 47. West winds 15 to 25 mph increase in the afternoon with gusts to around 40 mph.

Thursday night… Partly cloudy with a low of about 33. Wind gusts could be as highs 45 mph during the evening.

Friday… Sunny to mostly sunny, with a high around 54. Gusts again could reach 40 mph from the West.
