The Livingston and Nye areas could see wind gusts of 70 mph, including along I 90 throughout the day. Strong winds will also develop in the Bighorn Mountains around the Sheridan, Wyoming area.
Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will develop from Billings to the West toward the mountains.
Expect a partly to mostly sunny day, with some record high temperatures likely broken by the afternoon.
65° would tie the November 23 record high temperature set in 1942.
66° would tie the record for the warmest Thanksgiving on record in Billings set in 1998.
Sheridan, Wyoming; Livingston; and Miles City; along with many other locations across Eastern Montana, have a chance of setting records this afternoon.
As a cold front moves into the area this evening, winds will remain gusty with rain showers likely overnight.
Friday, expect periods of wind during the day. Temperatures will be about 10 to 15° cooler, with highs in the mid 50s. That is still about 10° above seasonal averages.

Thursday night… Showers likely after midnight. Otherwise cloudy to mostly cloudy with a low of around 40. Winds remain strong it 15 to 25 mph.
Friday… Mostly sunny with a high of about 54. West wind 15 to 25 miles an hour during the day decreasing during the afternoon and evening.
