Could break record highs but with wind

As a high-pressure Ridge builds in, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine Wednesday afternoon. Highs will be mainly in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Winds are strong in the mountain foothills, with a Livingston area seeing gusts of 55 to 60 mph through Thursday. Across the plains, sustained winds of 15 to 25 miles an hour from Forsyth to the West (including Billings) are expected through Friday.

Temperature stay very mild overnight, mainly in the 40s for the lower elevations.

For Thanksgiving, temperatures could break record highs before clouds and rain showers move in Thursday night.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday… Partly sunny with a slight chance of morning showers. A high near 61. West winds 15 to 25 mph.

Wednesday night… Partly cloudy with a low of about 44. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Thanksgiving… Record high temperatures possible. Around 66 for the high. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph with increasing afternoon clouds.
