Showers possible early, sunshine later Tuesday

Click for 7 Day Forecast A cold front has already moved to the area. Behind it, a chance of showers will decrease throughout the day with wind in the mountain foothills.

With our latest weather disturbance already into the Dakotas, Tuesday morning will hold a chance of showers. By the afternoon, the sun starts to break through.

Strong winds down the East mountain slopes will continue around Livingston extending southward to the Cody Foothills of northern Wyoming. Gusts could reach 40 to 60 mph.

High temperatures will be mainly in the mid to upper 40s Tuesday afternoon. Another surge of colder air moves down from the North, leaving Wednesday a few degrees cooler.

Highs will be mainly mid to lower 40s on Wednesday, but then return to the upper 40s and 50s on Thursday. Another chance of showers moves through the area Thursday night through Friday morning.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Scattered morning showers with clouds decreasing in the afternoon. Mostly sunny later in the day, with a high near 46. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 25.

Wednesday… Mostly sunny and around 45 for the high temperature.
