A chance of snow showers will continue Friday, with some lows possible during the afternoon and early evening. The best chance of snow will be from Billings towards the West, with scattered rain and snow showers across Southeast Montana and northern Wyoming.

High temperatures Friday will be mainly into the 30s from Billings to the West and North, but as warm as the low 40s in Eastern Montana northern Wyoming.

A cold front will move through the area tonight, bringing cold temperatures and widespread snowfall to the mountains and foothills. The best chance of snow will be from West of a line from Roundup to Billings to Sheridan, Wyoming.

Snow in the mountain foothills in areas like Columbus and Red Lodge could accumulate 4-8 inches.

Big Timber to Livingston could see 8 inches up to a foot of new snow.

The higher elevations could pick up 10 to 20 inches of new snow.

East of Billings, accumulations of 2 inches or less are expected.
