High temperatures Friday will be mainly into the 30s from Billings to the West and North, but as warm as the low 40s in Eastern Montana northern Wyoming.
A cold front will move through the area tonight, bringing cold temperatures and widespread snowfall to the mountains and foothills. The best chance of snow will be from West of a line from Roundup to Billings to Sheridan, Wyoming.
Snow in the mountain foothills in areas like Columbus and Red Lodge could accumulate 4-8 inches.
Big Timber to Livingston could see 8 inches up to a foot of new snow.
The higher elevations could pick up 10 to 20 inches of new snow.
East of Billings, accumulations of 2 inches or less are expected.
