Cold and snow continue through the weekend

Click for 7 Day Forecast Cold temperatures will continue right into next week. Periods of snow will favor areas from Billings to the West.

Slick roadways and visibility problems will affect travel in next few days. Be careful of refreezing snow and ice during the late afternoons and early evenings.

More snow is on the way, with accumulations possible especially in areas West of a line from Roundup south to around Sheridan, Wyoming. This includes Billings.

Area mountains could see significant additional snowfall through the weekend.

Overall, the area gets a break from snow Thursday, with snow showers redeveloping through the day on Friday. The best opportunity for more accumulations will be Friday night through Saturday.

High temperatures slip from the 30s for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to the 40s for Monday and Tuesday. Overnight temperatures will be mainly in the 20s the next couple of mornings then slip to the teens Sunday morning.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Cloudy to mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers especially in the morning. A high near 35.

Thursday night… Mostly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of snow especially overnight. A low of around 27.

Friday… Cloudy with a chance of morning snow showers and then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. About 38 for the high temperature.
