Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the mountain foothill locations around the Beartooth, Bighorn and Absaroka mountain ranges. Snow in these areas could accumulate to 2 to 5 inches with up to 7 inches possible.
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the higher elevations of the area mountain ranges with 8 to 15 inches of snow possible through Thursday.
Morning temperatures won’t be much different than readings in the afternoon, as colder air will drop down from the North through this evening. Expect scattered area rain showers to switch to a rain/snow mix through the afternoon and evening.
Overnight temperatures will drop down to the teens to mid 20s with a chance of light snow.
High temperatures on Thursday will be into the 30s. With some breaks of sunshine early Thursday, the chance of snow showers will increase during the afternoon and evening.
Another round of snow is likely with a better chance of accumulations for Billings by Saturday. Temperatures could be especially cold on Sunday with high temperatures only in the 20s.

Wednesday… Cloudy with area rain showers switching to a rain-snow mix later in the day. Temperatures will hold steady or drop through midday through the afternoon with readings in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Wednesday night… A chance of rain/snow through the evening with snow showers possible overnight. Otherwise, cloudy to mostly cloudy with a low around 25.
Thursday… Mostly cloudy with a chance of a morning snow shower. Near 36 for the high.
