Warmer for the weekend, but changes in sight

Expect readings mainly in the 50s from Billings to the West Friday afternoon, and mainly in the 40s across the Eastern edge of Montana. With a mix of clouds and sun, winds will be light.

Saturday looks to be warm and dry with sunshine in the afternoon. With highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, the wind will be surprisingly light for this time of the year at 5 to 15 miles an hour.

Our next cold front moves through Sunday, leading to high temperatures dropping to the 40s and 50s in a few sprinkles or showers around.

Monday is likely the coldest day in the short-term, with highs in the 30s to low 40s and overnight temperatures in the 20s to around 30°. Still no significant precipitation.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Mostly sunny with a high near 56. South breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Friday night… Partly to mostly cloudy with a low of about 41.

Saturday… Some clouds to start, but gradually becoming sunny. The high could reach around 72. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
