With a combination of very warm temperatures, low humidity, and gusty winds, a Red Flag Warning for increased wildfire risk is in effect from noon Friday until midnight for most of south-central and southeastern Montana, and portions of northern Wyoming.
Highs today will be in the 60s to mid 70s from Billings to the West, but mid 70s to low 80s East of Billings.
A strong Pacific cold front will bring gusty westerly winds into the afternoon and evening. Gusts of 40 to 50 mph are anticipated. A brief shower or thunderstorm is possible along in behind the cold front.
Saturday will trend much cooler, with highs mainly in the 50s. Gusty winds will continue.
Even stronger winds are expected Sunday, especially in the mountain foothills. Temperatures will rebound to the upper 50s to upper 60s.

Friday… Increasing clouds, with a high of about 73. Wind gusts could reach 40 mph. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon or evening.
Friday night… Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 39.
Saturday… Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. West winds 15 to 30 mph.
