Warm and windy start to weekend

Click for 7 Day Forecast Wind and warm temperatures highlight the next couple of days. The weekend ends cooler and more unsettled.

The wind will increase along the mountain foothills West of Billings Friday afternoon and continue to be gusty through Saturday. Top wind gusts in the Livingston area along I 90 could reach 60 mph.

The wind will become more widespread Saturday, including wind gust to around 40 mph in the Billings area and across the Eastern plains of Montana. The wind will start to subside as a cold front moves through the area late Saturday.

Expect sunny and warm conditions Friday, with the highs mainly in the 60s all across the area.

Mostly clear Friday night, with temperatures mainly in the 40s early Saturday. Winds will continue West of Billings overnight.

For Saturday, winds are more widespread with temperatures mainly in the 60s. Clouds will increase as a cold front moves through later in the day.

Cooler and wetter conditions can be expected Sunday and Monday. Quick moving showers could develop along and behind a cold front late Saturday through early Sunday.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny, with a high near 69. Southwest to West wind 10 to 20 mph.

Friday night… Mostly clear, with a low of about 47. West wind 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday… Mostly sunny with increasing afternoon clouds. Around 67 for the high. Winds increase in the afternoon to 15 to 30 mph and gust could approach 40 mph.
