Conditions stay a little unsettled for Thursday, with the best chance of rain remaining in the mountains west of Billings. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with stray showers or sprinkles.

High temperatures Thursday will be mainly in the upper 50s to around 60. Winds will be generally light.

With a full Harvest Moon tonight, expect a clear to mostly clear sky with temperatures in the 30s early Friday.

Winds will increase down the mountain slopes Friday, with high temperatures taking a generous jump to the 60s. Expect sunshine with increasing afternoon winds.

Around Billings, wind gusts could hit 40 miles an hour late Friday through Saturday afternoon. Less wind is likely East of Billings.

Temperatures in most locations will get their peaks on Saturday, and back off to the 50s on Sunday behind a cold front.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Areas of patchy morning fog, otherwise sunny. A high near 59. Southwest breeze 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday night… Mostly clear, with a low of about 38.

Friday… Sunny, with a high around 67. Winds will increase in the afternoon and evening.
