Showers end and temperatures drop

Click for 7 Day Forecast A wintry mix of rain and snow possible early in the day will be followed by widespread freezing temperatures overnight.

Area rain and snow showers will decrease through the morning hours, with the best chance of any snow accumulations North and to the East of Billings. Clouds will decrease somewhat through the afternoon and early evening, but expect some breezy periods.

High temperatures Tuesday will be mainly in the 40s regionwide.

As the sky continues to clear this evening, temperatures will be especially chilly early Wednesday. Lows will be mainly in the 20s with a few low 30s.

Expect drier conditions overall, but a disturbance does bring a few showers in the area overnight Wednesday and again Thursday into Friday morning.

A slow warm-up will continue through the rest of the week, with highs reaching the 60s by Friday and Saturday.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… The chance of showers decreases throughout the day with the best probabilities before noon. Otherwise, cloudy early turning to mostly cloudy with a high near 46. Northerly wind in the afternoon 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday night… Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Wednesday… Sunny with a high of about 54.
