High temperatures Monday will be mainly in the 40s to low 50s across south-central Montana and northern Wyoming. Clouds will increase through the afternoon.
A northwesterly wind will increase to 15 to 25 miles an hour across much of the area, and wind gusts could reach 30 to 40 mph especially from Billings to the North.
Areas to the North of Billings, from around Judith Gap toward Lewistown, Great Falls, and most all of north-central Montana will see wet heavy snow some pretty chilly temperatures today and tomorrow.
The best chance for our area to pick up some precipitation will be through the evening hours and overnight. A chance of rain showers with some snow in the mix is possible especially from Billings to the North and West.
Much of Eastern Montana and northern Wyoming will stay drier.
Billings forecast:
Monday… Partly sunny most of the day with increasing afternoon clouds. A West wind will increase to 15 to 25 mph the afternoon. A high near 50.
Monday night… Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers with some snowflakes possibly in the mix overnight. A low of about 34. West wind 15 to 25 mph.
Tuesday… Mostly cloudy with a high near 44. A chance of rain showers, or rain and snow showers through the early morning.
