The hot and dry weather we been experiencing the last few days was getting pushed away from the region overnight. Around 5 to 10° cooler Wednesday compared to Tuesday afternoon.

Expect a mix of clouds and sun with temperatures mainly in the 80s Wednesday. Showers will become more widespread Wednesday night heading into Thursday.

Showers will be widespread Thursday with highs mainly in the 50s to low 60s.

Highs will drop to the 40s to low 50s by Friday with rain in the lower elevations and snow for the mountains.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday… A mix of clouds and sun, with a high near 83. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

Wednesday night… Increasing clouds with the chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms increasing during the evening and overnight. By early Thursday, the temperatures around 53.

Thursday… Mostly cloudy to cloudy. Showers likely, especially after 1 PM. About 60 for the high temperature.
