Not as hot, but fire concerns continue

Click for 7 Day Forecast Temperatures will trend slightly cooler Friday and Saturday. But with the humidity moving down and the wind speeds moving up, fire risk will remain high.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 9PM Friday evening for most of Montana east of the continental divide. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

High temperatures Friday will be mainly into the mid-80s to lower 90s. Expect a sunny day, but with periods of wind gusts especially through the early afternoon.

Winds will taper off overnight. Lows will be mainly in the upper 40s to upper 50s early Saturday.

Expect dry and generally clear weather to continue through the weekend.

Highs will be back to the 80s to low 90 Saturday but could hit mid to upper 90s on Sunday. Sunday will likely be the hottest day of this coming week.

Highs are trending to stay in the 80s to low 90s most of next week. But things become more unsettled with scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms mixed in throughout the week.
