Afternoon high temperatures will be mainly into the upper 70s to mid 80s Wednesday with plenty of afternoon sunshine. Highs will slide to the 70s on Thursday, but conditions remain dry.
It will be breezy at times, with wind gusts to around 30 mph. Combined with low relative humidity, the risk of wildfires will be elevated, especially East of Billings.
Use caution with activities that can cause wildfires. Driving through tall grass, campfires, welding, and especially fireworks can be hazardous.
Readings could be as cool as the upper 60s to low 70s by Friday and Saturday, and the chance of rain will increase a bit.

Wednesday… Sunny, with a high near 84. Westerly wind 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday night… Mostly clear, with a low of about 53.
Thursday… Sunny, and around 78 for the high. Northwest breeze 5 to 15 mph.
