In general, quiet weather pattern will stick around through the middle of the week. The storm system the bright gusty winds and scattered thunderstorms through the weekend has moved off to the Great Lakes.
Expect plenty of sunshine Monday with the afternoon highs mainly in the mid to lower 70s and a light wind. Stronger winds may develop around Miles City and Baker Monday afternoon.
Temperatures will edge up a little bit more Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure builds into the Rocky Mountain West. Highs will be in the upper 70s to around 80.
Wednesday and Thursday looked to be the warmest days this week, with highs well into the 70s Wednesday and 85 to 90 by Thursday afternoon.
As the Ridge starts to break down late Thursday, there’s a chance of scattered isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Billings forecast:
Memorial Day… Sunny, with a high near 75. A light West breeze will shift to the North in the afternoon.
Monday night… Mostly clear, with a low of about 45. Light Northeast breeze.
Tuesday… More sunshine and a little warmer. Around 78 for a high with a continued light breeze.
