Expect plenty of sunshine with an upper-level Ridge holding in across the region for today in this evening. Temperatures will be mainly into the 70s this afternoon, with the 60s in the higher elevations. Winds will be light.
Overnight readings will be in the 40s to 50s, with Billings likely in the mid-50s early Wednesday.
Wednesday will be the warm day the week, but will come with some strong wind gusts. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph will be punctuated with gusts to around 45 mph.
Otherwise, Wednesday will be partly cloudy with area high temperatures well into the 70s to mid 80s. The warmest readings will be East of Billings.
Temperatures drop quickly for Thursday and Friday, with highs in the mid to lower 60s. Periods of wind will continue Thursday.
The current trend is to warm temperatures well back in the 70s by the weekend, with the outlook looking pretty good for outdoor activities on Memorial Day.
