Temperatures will climb up into the 80s today with plenty of sunshine during the day and a light breeze. If Billings hits our predicted high of 86, it would be the warmest day so far in 2017.
Some scattered thunderstorms are possible moving off the mountains this afternoon, but not likely reaching Billings. The biggest threat could be some strong gusty winds.
A cold front will move through this evening, shifting winds to the Northwest. Temperatures will run about 20° cooler for Saturday afternoon. Areas East of Billings will be warmer.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon and evening from Billings to the West. The chance of storms with damaging wind and hail are low.
Highs in the 60s can be expected Saturday through Monday. We may stay in the 50s by midweek with an increasing chance of rain showers.
