Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s this afternoon. With lots of sunshine and low humidity, winds will generally be light.
Friday will be the warmest and driest day the week, with just isolated showers and thunder over the mountains. High temperatures and the work week could be well into the 80s from Billings towards the Dakotas.
There is a slight chance of a severe storm or two with hail and gusty winds creeping in around Harlowton, Livingston, and Big Timber late Friday.
Saturday will be sharply cooler, with highs mainly in the 60s. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase through the afternoon.
The overall trend will be toward a rather cool week ahead with highs staying in the 60s and lows in the 40s through next week. Unsettled weather will continue, with at least a chance of hit and miss showers or thunderstorms virtually every day.
