For Tuesday, scattered rain and snow showers, plus isolated thunderstorms will push across the area today. Highs will be mainly in the 40s, although areas of Southeast Montana will not make it past the 30s.

There are travel concerns through Southeast Montana, and in Northern Wyoming around Sheridan. This includes I-90. Expect poor visibility and wet roads.

Precipitation will taper off this afternoon as the upper low slips into South Dakota. An isolated thunderstorm is possible during the afternoon and early evening.

Wednesday, temperatures will struggle back to the 50s for afternoon highs after a chilly morning. But, by later Wednesday, there is another shot of mountain snow and lower elevation rain that continues Thursday and somewhat on Friday.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Cloudy with rain showers. Rain could be mixed with snow in the morning. About 48 for the high. NE 5-15 mph.

Tuesday night…Showers winding down with an isolated thunderstorm possible. Near a chilly 31 for the low.

Wednesday…Partly sunny with isolated afternoon showers. Around 53 for a high.
