Partly to mostly sunny Wednesday, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. A Southwest breeze at about 10 to 20 mph.

A few clouds develop overnight, but hold temperatures mainly in the 30s.

For Thursday, temperatures will nudge up about 10°. Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s widespread.

Friday will be the warmest day, with highs in the mid to lower 70s. It might be a stretch, but as a cold front approaches Billings may approach the daily record high of 77° set in 2005.

Temperatures reverse course over the weekend with an increasing chance of showers. Highs will be in the 60s on Saturday, and the upper 40s and low 50s on Sunday. Best chance of showers is Sunday with the potential for some gusty winds.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday… Partly sunny with a high near 61. West wind 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy with a low around 38.

Thursday… Mostly sunny with a high near 71. SW breeze.
