Areas of patchy fog Wednesday morning could hold back our warm up a bit for the afternoon, but we are still on track for highs to be mainly into the mid-60s across much of the area for today.
Persistent fog, or clouds developing early in the afternoon, could hold back our warm up. Winds will generally be light, but pick up to 15 to 25 mph in the mountain foothills.
A strong trough of low pressure pulls more moisture up into the region from the South Wednesday night. This will start to create showers in northern Wyoming and Southeast Montana overnight.
We still maintain above average temperatures on Thursday, with a highs mainly in the 50s. The best chance of showers will be from Billings to the South and East. There could be some pockets of some heavy rain especially Thursday morning.
Expect warmer and drier conditions Friday, with high temperatures 60 to 65.

Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy, with a low near 41. A chance of showers after midnight.
Thursday… Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers. Around 56 for the high.
