Click for 7 Day ForecastSnow showers are starting to move out of the area, but freezing drizzle could cause some slick conditions Friday. The overall trend is for a warmer and drier week ahead.
Snow showers are starting to lift to the North and East away from Billings and the surrounding area. The chance of snow will decrease throughout the afternoon.
However there is a shallow layer of colder air close to the surface thanks to the snow on the ground. With warmer air aloft, and a fair amount of instability, there is the possibility of freezing drizzle or freezing rain especially through Friday morning. This could develop into extremely slick conditions and hazardous travel in a short period of time.
Be aware that conditions could change quickly.
Highs will stay in the mid to lower 30s for Friday and Saturday, and warm to the low 40s on Sunday across much of the area. A disturbance brings a chance of the snow showers through again by Sunday evening but nothing significant.
The overall trend is to push the temperatures upward. Highs could be in the upper 50s to low 60s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
