A very fast jetstream above Montana will mix down some gusty winds during the day Tuesday. Wind gusts of 40 mph or greater are possible anywhere across the Eastern plains.
At the same time, a continuous stream of moisture will move in off the Pacific and could create quite a bit of snow on the West facing slopes of area mountains. Snow totals through Friday could be one to 3 feet in some places.
For the lower elevations, and increasing chance of showers will start to move in by late Wednesday. Temperatures will peak Wednesday in the 40s for the lower elevations.
We will likely be in the 30s for the highs on Thursday through the weekend. Overnight temperatures will be in the teens and 20s.
Scattered rain and snow showers are possible off and on through the period.

Tuesday… Partly sunny, with a high of about 42. West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40.
Tuesday night… Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of overnight light snow showers. The low near 26.
Wednesday… Mostly cloudy with scattered morning snow showers, and scattered rain showers for the afternoon. Around 46 for the high with lighter winds.
