Click here for 7 Day ForecastIt will be windy and cooler today. But, we are watching later this week for the real shift to wintry weather.

A cold front that moved through last night is leaving behind highs in the upper 30s and 40s today, with periods of gusty winds. Areas East of Billings will be most affected especially through the morning hours with areas of snow and blowing snow.

Gusty winds will continue through this evening, with periods of wind again on Tuesday. Lows will be into the mid teens to mid 20s, with Tuesday afternoon highs 40s. Expect a partly to mostly sunny sky tomorrow, with increasing evening clouds.

Wednesday, and possibly Thursday, look bit warmer, with highs in the 40s to mid 50s.

The timing of the next system is still a question mark. But, by the end of the week temperatures will be mainly in the 30s for the highs and teens for the lows. There is a good chance of rain and snow showers by Thursday and Friday.

Billings forecast:

Monday night… Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Breezy through the evening hours at 15 to 25 mph.
