Click for 7 Day Forecast Winter temperatures return with areas of snow. Don’t expect any kind of a significant warm-up through at least the middle of next week.

The bulk of our storm system remain south of us, keeping periods of light snow in the mix from West of Billings, to Hardin, with heavier snow in the Bighorn mountain foothills to around Sheridan, Wyoming to the West. Areas East of Billings will see light snowfall at best.

Billings will pick up 1 to 3 inches of snow most of the accumulations in the grassy areas. Expect some slick areas with ice covered with snow Thursday through Friday morning on roadways and sidewalks.

Area mountains and adjoining foothills could see more significant snow totals, so be mindful of changing conditions.

Temperatures will hold steady in the 20s and 30s throughout the day, and drop off during the evening hours.

Cloudy to mostly cloudy overnight, with areas of light snow. Morning temperatures will be in the teens to low 20s early Friday, with highs in the 20s to mid 30s Friday afternoon.

The extended Outlook keeps readings mainly in the 30s for the highs in the teens to low 20s for the lows to the middle of next week.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Periods of snow with light accumulations. Otherwise, cloudy with a high around 32. A light Northeast wind.

Thursday night… Evening light snow showers. Cloudy overnight with a low near 22.

Friday… Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. About 33 for the high temperature.
