Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for areas from around Lewistown to the North, extending southward toward Sheridan, Wyoming. This includes Yellowstone County and Billings.

Travel concerns today include accumulating snow, slick roads, and poor visibility at times. Areas West of Billings will see greater snow accumulations the next several days.

Billings will likely be around 3 to 6 inches of snow, with 6 to 10 inches possible in Stillwater and Sweet Grass Counties.

Temperatures will be mainly in the 20s through the day, with little warming in the afternoon. Expect single digits to low teens early Wednesday, with readings only in the teens for the highs.

The chance of snow backs off slightly on Wednesday, but could redevelop would light snow accumulations again on Thursday.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Snow showers through the day with temperatures holding steady in the mid 20s. Around 3 to 4 inches of accumulation. Northeast breeze 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday night… A chance of light snow overnight, with a low at around 11.

Wednesday… Mostly cloudy with a chance of light snow showers. About 17 for a high temperature
