Click For 7 Day ForecastThe weather really doesn’t get better this weekend. It just won’t be as harsh. But, heading into next week, snow and more below average temperatures are on the way.
Still breezy around Billings Friday, with stronger winds towards Livingston. That will cause areas of some chilly wind chills and light blowing snow.
Otherwise, a mix of clouds and sunshine and temperatures in the teens are expected Friday. Some very cold air from the Big Horn Basin of Northern Wyoming could follow the river valleys and hold back temperatures a bit.
Overnight temperatures will be mainly into the single digits above and below zero. Plenty of sunshine on Saturday, with lighter winds and temperatures mainly in the teens.
By Sunday, the mountains start to pick up a better chance of snow. High temperatures could peak into the upper 20s by Monday, but some good snow making weather starts to move in the region the first of the week.
Temperatures will stay in the teens and low 20s for the highs through much of next week, with the overnight temperatures in the single digits above and below zero. There is a chance of off and on snow showers.
There are telltale signs of some bands of heavier snow and some periods of mixed precipitation around the area for next week. At this point, there are too many question marks about timing and intensity for specifics.
