Cold temperatures and bitter cold wind chill values

Click for 7 Day ForecastThis week will be mainly about cold temperatures. Wind chill values will be dangerous at times, especially through Wednesday morning.

Arctic air continues to settle across the region. Expect Tuesday afternoon highs to be mainly in the single digits above and below zero with a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Readings will drop back to the single digits and teens below zero by early Wednesday, with wind chill values and -15 to -35 in our area.

Minimize time outdoors for the next couple of days, including time at school bus stops.

Temperatures will gradually warm as we get closer the weekend, but could come with some wind. No new snow is expected for the lower elevations in the short-term, but a chance of snow showers could you redevelop by Monday.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Partly sunny, and cold. A high near zero. Wind chill values could drop to -25.

Tuesday night… Mostly cloudy, with a low around -12. Wind chill values as low as -30.

Wednesday… Mostly sunny and cold, with a high of about 7. Bitter cold wind chill values continue.
