A storm system exiting Montana East of Billings is continuing to produce areas of wind and blowing snow. At the same time, a new round of gusty winds has been blowing down the mountains West of Billings.
The strong low this brought widespread snow blizzard conditions to Eastern Montana is continuing to edge off to the Great Lakes morning. Snow will gradually come to an end the morning and early afternoon as winds ease up as well. Travel will improve in this area, but continue to use caution and check conditions.
With a low exiting, a high-pressure Ridge is creating gusty winds around Livingston, Big Timber, and Nye. As a week disturbance moves across the region Tuesday, much of that wind will start to spread into the Eastern plains.
Billings will likely be breezy Tuesday, with much stronger winds on Wednesday.
Otherwise, with a mix of clouds and sun, temperatures will be mainly into the mid to lower 20s from Billings to the West today. Readings will be in the teens in areas East of Billings and through much of northern Wyoming.
The trend will be towards warming temperatures but stronger winds Tuesday and Wednesday.
Billings forecast:
