Drier air is moving in the region, with brisk winds behind last night’s cold front. With sunshine, temperatures will be a bit cooler than yesterday with highs mainly into the mid to lower 30.
Winds will remain breezy for today, tonight, and tomorrow with sustained winds of about 15 to 25 mph. Stronger gusts will remain closer the mountain foothills and the Livingston area.
Highs will stay mainly in the 30s through Friday. A chance of snow showers starts to develop with colder air intruding the area Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on Saturday and Sunday.
Best snow making weather right now is zeroing in on Saturday night through Sunday morning, with preliminary indications of 3 to 6 inches of snow. Temperatures will be much colder Christmas Day with highs in the low teens.
