Click for 7 Day ForecastAs the snowfall from yesterday has exited the region, the cold temperatures are left behind. But, expect the general warm-up through the weekend.

The upper-level winds are still out of the Northwest today, drawing in colder air. At the same time, winds close to the surface are drawing chilly air up the river valleys from the Big Horn Basin. That will hold temperatures mainly into the 30s for this afternoon despite plenty of sunshine.

After another chilly overnight with the lows in the teens and 20s, temperatures will begin to warm Saturday. Expect highs mainly in the 40s with a mix of clouds and sun.

Temperatures will top in the upper 40s to mid 50s on Sunday. A trough digs into the Western US Sunday night, bringing a chance of mainly mountain showers on Monday.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Areas of patchy morning fog and Frost, otherwise mostly sunny. A high near 36.

Friday night… Increasing clouds, and chilly. Around 22 the low.

Saturday… Mostly sunny, and warmer. About 44 for the high.
