Temperatures today will be mainly in the 40s from Billings to the West, but could make the mid to lower 50s in the Eastern plains. Clouds will increase, with showers into the Beartooth foothills through the day and increasing tonight.
The heaviest snows likely to occur in the Beartooth and Big Horn Mountains. Interstate 90 from Crow agency South to Sheridan, Wyoming could be severely impacted by tomorrow morning.
The Billings area itself will likely see only light snow accumulations in the order of an inch or two, with the snow winding down Thursday morning.
The Red Lodge foothills could see 6 to 10 inches of accumulation. Areas North and East of Billings could see some light showers.
Billings forecast:
Wednesday… Cloudy with scattered showers. A high near 49.
Wednesday night… A chance of rain or a rain snow mix through midnight. Then snow likely with perhaps around an inch or two of accumulation. The low drops to around 28.
Thursday… Cloudy with light snow. High of about 36.
